About Us

Nova Tile and Stone was founded in 2005 by Northern Nevada locals, the Hartman Family, placing a large emphasis on providing knowledgeable and friendly service to our local community.

Initially offering only retail tile products and sundries, Nova became the first distributor of pre-fabricated granite countertops in the region. In 2012 Nova moved from a smaller store frontage into a 22,000 sqft facility in Minden, and expanded to a second store in Sparks Nevada when we began to stock natural stone slabs at all of our locations. Landscaping products, hardwood and LVP flooring, Carpet and exterior stone veneer were added to our product offerings leading into 2018 when Nova opened it's third branch in Fernley Nevada. 

In 2020 Nova expanded it's headquarters in Minden to include an additional 25,000 square feet and began production of reclaimed wood products including mantles, shelves, furniture and live edge counter tops. Having grown significantly over the years, and employing over 40 local residents, Nova decided to take the next step and open the largest slab showroom in Northern Nevada and the Sierras in 2021. This new facility opened in May of 2021 and houses over 6,000 Natural Stone and leading Quartz slab products, with over 60,000 sqft to showcase all of our expanded product lines and service a rapidly expanding market.

In 2023, after years of planning and designing, Nova Tile and Stone opened their fourth branch in Sacramento, CA and launched their first tile collection; The Odyssey Collection. This is Nova Tile and Stone's first step into distributing their products nationwide. This collection encompasses all of the tile options that you see here; A true combination of time, passion, and unique design.
